Tango Dance Camp

Coming Soon

What to Expect?

For students with no previous experience, Tango Dance Camp is an ideal introduction into this incredibly beautiful and complex dance.

In 6 1/2 hours, you'll learn the fundamentals of the Argentine tango including the musicality, etiquette, and history of the dance.

During the morning of Tango DanceCamp,  you'll gain an understanding of foundational dance concepts.

You will start dancing Argentine tango almost from the beginning of class.

At lunch, you'll watch a movie on the tango embrace and discuss tango etiquette. (Bring a “brown bag "lunch)

After lunch, you will review the morning curriculum and then study the cross system and practice turning ochos.

At Tango Dance Camp, you'll have the opportunity to learn both leading and following.

After completing the day long activities, we trust you will continue learning Argentine tango with other local instructors and attend local and regional tango workshops.

In addition, we hope  you will  embrace tango across identity, class, and generational boundaries and become an integral part of the inclusive CU tango "collective" community.

What to Bring: Dance Shoes (Heels or Flats-Leather Soles--No tennis shoes), Smart Phone, Water Bottle and Brown Bag Lunch. No Partner Required.

Bottom line: you will laugh, learn, and meet new people. No partner needed. No tango experience required.
